Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) is a combination of two Japenese words 'rei' and 'ki' meaning universal life energy. Reiki is an ancient laying-on of hands healing technique that uses life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. The Reiki practitioner serves as a vessel that supplies healing energies where they are most needed by the recipient.
Some possible benefits of Reiki

What to expect
During a Reiki session the recipient is fully clothed and can be lying on a treatment table or sitting comfortably supported in a chair. Most commonly, Reiki is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head and front and back of the torso. Alternatively, the practitioners hands can simply hover over areas on the body. As Reiki energies flow between the practitioner and the recipient during the Reiki session, the two bodies may respond or react with particular sensations. These sensations are nearly always pleasant. You may feel heat, warmth, cold, tingling, goose bumps & throbbing, as examples. Reiki flows slowly or rapidly, as needed, to dispense balancing energies.
